He's a man with superhuman powers. But like any man– even a superhero– it appears Captain America has concerns about his looks. After revealing that he was losing his hair, Captain America actor Chris Evans admitted that he was worried about whether his comic book character would have to follow suit.
Chris Evans confessed his hair loss concerns at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. The actor, whose second Captain America movie had just been realised at the time, admitted in an interview with E! News that he was going bald.
“I have no problem saying this, but I'm losing my hair.'
Having signed up for three 'Captain America' films and three 'Avengers' movies, the then 32-year-old admitted his worries about his future as the superhero. ‘The fear is this role can span 10 years so I can be doing this character until I'm 40,' he shared.
“I'm supposed to be like this superior human. He can't be balding…How horrible would it be if this superior man has male pattern baldness?'
Fortunately for Evans however, it seems his hair loss problems didn’t escalate– or did it? In his most recent Marvel blockbuster, Avengers: Endgame, the now 37-year-old Evans appears to have a full head of hair. This contradicts his previous statement of him losing his hair, so was Chris Evans’ hair loss just a hasty conclusion on his part, or did Chris Evans get hair transplant surgery?
